Smartphone charging problems can be caused by many things, and it is very frustrating to plug your dead device to find out that it isn't charging and even don't know how to solve the problem.

It is not just only your device not charging, you might also be faced with slow charging or instead of your Android phone or tablet or IPhone/Ipad to be charging, it disconnect. These problems are all similar though might be caused by different issues, and this is what i will be dealing below.

Check The USB Cable and The Adapter

Faulty USB cable is the very first thing to check if your smartphone isn't charging. Usb cables with time get faulty especially if it's not an original one or produced by popular brands. If you have two adapter that is where the usb cable is plugged into, try plugging your cable to other adapter to see if it will charge. 

The second is the adapter itself, you should also check if the adapter is still okay or damage as it can cause a phone not to charge. If you check them and detects that the problem is from one of them, what to do is to get a new one and replace it with the damaged cable or adapter. 

Check your USB socket

If the problem is not from the USB cable or adapter, what check next is the charging port of your smartphone. The small metal connector in the USB port, which may be slightly bent in a way that means it doesn’t make proper contact with the charging cable.

To fix this, switch your phone off, and remove the battery if you can. Then take a pin or something similar in size and straighten the small tab inside the USB port on your phone. Make sure you’re not too rough with this process – you could end up doing more damage than good. Then, put your battery back in, power on your device, and try charging again.

Check Your Smartphone Battery 

Your smartphone battery could be the problem of not charging, if it's removal battery replace it with the exact battery of your device but if it is non removable, it is better to take it to a repair shop.
